I officially have a 2nd grader and a Kindergartner as of today. The girls were up at 6:00 getting ready and woke us up at 6:30 all dressed and ready to go. It was nice becuase there was no fighting no dragging kids out of bed, lots of excitement etc. If only it will last, I wonder how long it will last. We ate, hung out since we were up and ready so early, waited for C Boy ( I am tending kids now and have a super cute 9 mo old boy) got him fed and dressed loaded up in the car and headed to school. I pulled into the parking lot and asked Syd if she wanted me to park and walk her to her class. But she and London insisted that I just pull into the drop off lane and London would take her sister and so I did. The doors opened the two of them walk out hand in hand up the stairs into the doors of the big big world. Me and the little ones went home to hang out. When I went to pick Syd up she looked so proud of her first day of school. We took these pics as soon as we came home. She asked me if she could go back later and I had to remind her she only goes in the morning and she would have to wait. So fun. (disclaimer on Cairo's picture, she is always in dance clothes, always always always, and if family are lookig close yes that is my old bunny dance costume leotard)

Getting Through the Day
For some reason we cannot wake up in the mornig at our house. London has to be at school by 8:15 and Syd at 8:30 and Brandon usually has his first patient around 8:15. Well lately we have been waking up at 7:30. Now you tell me how you get five people ready by 8:00 to be out the door. All I can say is that it is a good thing we live in a small town and it only takes two minutes to get anywhere. But it throws off my whole day and attitude. I was determined to wake up this morning make eggs and bacon for breakfast the whole bit not yell at me kids etc. Instead I rolled out of bed washed my makeup off from the night before poored three bowls of cereal for the girls rushed them to eat yelled at them to get dressed, brush thier teeth, shoes and socks and manage to brush through the ratty hair to get a pony tail sign off homework pile in the car and make our daily drop offs. So after everyone was where they should be a took a deep breath went home and set up a circuit work out (situps and push up using yoga ball, pullups using pull up bar, sqats and lunges with free wieghts, tricep dips on bench and jump rope, repeated three times) for twenty minutes. Jumped in the shower and tried to figure out how to get throught the rest of my crazy day so that it was not so crazy. I decided on a crock pot dinner since I will be in the office until about 6 tonight. Ck Cacciatore is for dinner tonight. After going to the grocerey store yesturday ( I only spent $88 for the week) I cut up all the veggies I bought so that we have pre made snack handy and ready to go ( no more wondering what we have for snack or eating crap out of a box)
the good thing about it is that my kids love to eat thier fruits and veggies so why not have them ready for them to just grab instead of not having time to peel and cut everytime they want something. Another challenge today well this weekend is to potty train Cairo. She totally understands just refuses to actually do it, so I am refusing her the opportunity to wear diapers. So far she has had two accidents today one while I am posting this and she hates being wet so hopefully today is the start of no diapers for our house.Right now is my calm before the storm. I have about 1 more hour before I have to get London from school, take the car in to get a safety inspection on it, drop girls off at play date, go to work for a couple of hours pick girls up and head back to the office until we are done tonight, return home to my yummy crockpot dinner, bathe kids, do homework and then hand the kids over to B because I am going back to the office tonight to get a massage!!! Yeah!!

We heard a thump ....

Last Wed B and I were sitting on the couch, mind you I had come down with a bad migraine that afternoon, so B was pretty much on his own for Bath and Bedtime with the girls which he always does a great job at when he is needed. But we were relaxing on the coach ( I was trying to not throw up from the pain in my head) when we heard a thump and then little footprints. Yes it is true C climed out of her crib, three times that night. So the next day I took the crib down (which is weird becuase I was not just moving it to the other side of the room for the next baby it went downstairs in the basement for when or if ever we need it again. And up went the toddler bed. She was excited about it until it was time to take a nap in it. She screamed for about an hour and finally fell asleep in right behind the bedroom door so that I could not even open it. Night time was a little bit better but turned into a game of catch me and put me back into my bed. We are on day three now and things are easier but not perfect yet. Nap time seems to be a breeze and bedtime is ok if she stays up a little later and is extremely tired. So it is still a work in progress but the good thing about it so far is that we are getting rid of the binki at the same time, it just happened somehow.

Her First Snow Day

This happened back in January, a good friend and I took our kids to the old elementary school to go sledging. Cairo had fun exploring the white stuff and trying to walk in her snow boots and snow suit. I was able to snap these two adorable pictures, I love the close up, she melts my heart. And the other one give me flash backs to the movie the Christmas Story. Needless to say the kids had a blast that day going up and down the mini hill. Unfortunately my friend threw out her back. Good thing I have back up and know someone who could help. Thanks B for coming to the rescue on your day off.
Cairo and her B's

Here is where you can usually Find Cairo in the afternoon, although she does take a nap I do not think it is ever long enough becuause she has to have a moment with her binky and blanket, she will carry it around and then she will just all of a sudden plop to the floor and roll around with it, like she needs a quick fix. I try to keep her blanket and binky in her bed (slowly winging it from her, hopefully to only bedtime before March, that is when she is old enought to go to the nursery at church and no binky or blanket aloud, my rules) Somehow she get it out of there either by reaching her little hands through the bars and grabbing it or convincing her older sisters to get it for her.
