What does it take to be a good mom?

Here is a question to all my blog readers. I have been working with the youth at church and their personal progress goals. One of the goals asks to define what characteristics a mother needs to raise her children unto the Lord (not in the same words but same idea) So I was thinking last night on the gospel principle of Faith. I decided that I need to increse my faith in the Lord and trust in him ALWAYS. I am such an independant person and put a lot upon myslef, I have decided that I need to put a little more trust in the higher power that exists in our lives and in return I know that I will feel comfort and peace in the way I am living my life and raising my children. I know that to increase my faith I need to do those Sunday School answers that we here everyweek in church, pray always and read the scriptures daily. If it is so easy, why must we be reminded all the time. I know for me, it is not easy and so many other things creep in the way of what I should be doing. Anyway just a little thought on motherhood and what a divine role it is for us as women. Any thoughts, would love to here. Oh yeah, I have gained a total of 16 pounds so far and my ultrasound should be in the next week or so, I will know for sure this afternoon.

Patience, patience, and more patience.
THAT is what it takes, at least in my book.
honestly, the other things just add to the patience, praying, reading my scriptures -- but it's the patience I suffer for.

It isn't easy ate first to do the reading and praying and the sort. After you get a routine going and you put your heart into it and start to see the blessings is when it gets easy. Share the friend and the Ensign with your girls you will learn lots and gain great bleesings for it.

I would have to say unconditional love. It comes automaticly when they are born. It's just hard to keep remembering to show it when they throw tantrums flush things down the toilet, hit thier siblings and tell you they hate you!
