Here is a post I have been trying to get up for a while of some outfits I had done for the girls and figured they would just wear them for Easter. We are sort of havin a family reunion at Easter and are planning some great family pics. So we are trying to coordinate outfits sort of. I know with this that my girls are going to wear white or cream shirts with blue sweaters if needed. So if anyone wants material or something made let me know can check with the gal who made these for me to see if she has anything left or where she bought the material.

Perks of Being Under the weather
To explain this picture... I have not been feeling well this last week, especially over the weekend C and I were bed ridden with a lovely flu/cold. As great as my family is they were trying to help around the house to cook, clean and take care of Mommy. I knew that on Sunday night Sydney was washing dishes she usually does this she likes to rinse them off and put them in the dishwasher (she like to make me happy) The next morning I noticed the dishwasher was full so I put the soap in it and turned it on..... This is what I found coming out of the dishwasher a few minutes later. I just figured that syd had washed the dishes a little too much leaving some soap on them, but after some digging around and question answering turns out Cairo was helping and just poured some of the liquid soap in the dishwasher. It actually put a smile on my face. Although I had to rinse the dishes about 10 times on the rinse cycle and scoop out some of the soap bubbles. I was happy that my dishes were soooooooo ckean.

Newest Project
A few months ago, London got her own room. Since then we have been trying to finish it making it a not so baby room but not too grown up teeny bopper either. Then we cam across this in a magazine this mural is actually vinyl stickers.
I did not want the hassle of getting the vinyl on just right so we did this with paint instead!!
It was a lot of work prepping the room since the paint in the house was flat paint. It would flake so bad. We went to Hope Depot to try and match it just right so that I did not have to paint the ceiling and guess what it was way lighter. When I went to paint I taped the ceiling and guess what the paint peeled off the ceiling anyways so that is why some of it is a sky blue. I am still debating if I should just do the whole thing. So here is her mural we may still have some touch ups in the details and along the bottom but you get the idea. Then for Christmas Grandma L found some great fabric and this is what we did with it.
We made curtains, a matching bed skirt and some throw pillow, Mr. Whootie is my fav!! He is actually my Inspiration of the week click here to read more. Here is London chillin in her newly done room with her favortie Christmas present this year. She has just started taking lessons and practices everyday. She has even started writing some lyrics to her own music. I hope she sticks with it. She is super ambitious about it so only time will tell. And the room would not be complete without our petshop portrait!!

Christmas Eve
We decided to go sleding for Christmas Eve. There was no snow in Blanding so we had to head up to the mountain. After a short drive and a few times getting stuck in the snow we found a great spot. We took our dog Abby who ran the whole time we were out there, she even found a way to catch a ride on the sleds!! London even decided to go down penquin style (no sled) it was hilarious it reminded me of Ace Ventura Pet Dectective. Here are some vidoes and pics of our fun day.

"White Christmas"
Ok so technically it is 4 days till Christmas but I think this snow will last a long time. We knew we were going to get a big storm but holy cow. It snowed all day yesturday and luckily I have great neighbors who plowed our snow twice yesturday but holy cow it snowed all night long and is still snowing. I went to work at 6:15 this morning to catch up on bills and paperwork and ended up getting stuck in the snow. Here in our little town the plows go down main st. but they only blow the center lanes leaving all the plowed snow where we park and where our patients park. Luckily I had a fellow business owner and some great friends who were driving around saving people like me. They dug me out so I could get back home! When I got home the kids just wanted to go play in the snow. So we bundles up although the kids were laughing at me becuase I was in a sweatshirt, snow boots and capris. And the grils played while I dug us out a little bit (at least a path in front). After playing for an hour or so we came in and defrosted with some hot cocoa. Here are some fun pics of our snow morning.

Back to School 2010
I officially have a 2nd grader and a Kindergartner as of today. The girls were up at 6:00 getting ready and woke us up at 6:30 all dressed and ready to go. It was nice becuase there was no fighting no dragging kids out of bed, lots of excitement etc. If only it will last, I wonder how long it will last. We ate, hung out since we were up and ready so early, waited for C Boy ( I am tending kids now and have a super cute 9 mo old boy) got him fed and dressed loaded up in the car and headed to school. I pulled into the parking lot and asked Syd if she wanted me to park and walk her to her class. But she and London insisted that I just pull into the drop off lane and London would take her sister and so I did. The doors opened the two of them walk out hand in hand up the stairs into the doors of the big big world. Me and the little ones went home to hang out. When I went to pick Syd up she looked so proud of her first day of school. We took these pics as soon as we came home. She asked me if she could go back later and I had to remind her she only goes in the morning and she would have to wait. So fun. (disclaimer on Cairo's picture, she is always in dance clothes, always always always, and if family are lookig close yes that is my old bunny dance costume leotard)

Green Thumbs
Early in the summer we prepared the soil, planted seeds and plants, weeded, worked the soil and now wer are reaping the benefits. We were able to have peas for dinner last night. We are going to make Zuchinin bread and will have the green beans for dinner tonight. We have been eating our cucumbers and strawberries and a few tomatos. We are looking forward to eating our corn, watermelon, carrots, and using the pumpkins later in the fall. I have never grown corn or carrots before so I am excited to see that it is working. Along with all the great things about the garden there are also the pests. We have lots of grasshopers, which the girls love to chase around the yard and catch to go fishing and I just noticed yesturday the squash bugs so I will be out today to find the big one and kill them and scrape and destroy all the eggs. I know some of you may say just spray but if I wanted to eat sprayed food I would just buy it from the grocerey store. It is nice to know that my kids can just go out and pick and eat the food we have outside without worry of what may be on it. So i can deal with the pests for a few more months.
